Fans get Mad
The announcements came fast and furious at WizardWorld Chicago, where fans at Marvel's Cup o' Joe panel got to hear that the publisher has signed writer Jeph Loeb to an exclusive and that he'll be working on a project to be drawn by fan-favorite but long-absent artist Joe Madureira. Madureira, best known for his stint on "Uncanny X-Men" and the unfinished "Battle Chasers" series for Wildstorm's Cliffhanger! imprint, has been working in the videogame biz for several years and this still undisclosed Marvel project will be his first comics project since 2001.
And one good Cliffhanger! returnee deserves another. Wildstorm announced at the show that J. Scott Campbell's popular "Danger Girl" will return in a four-issue miniseries written by co-creator Andy Hartnell and drawn by Nick Bradshaw. Campbell will provide covers.
