Walk with the "Wildsiderz"

So? Campbell's first major series work since "Danger Girl" hit the stands Wednesday and, like "Danger Girl," "Wildsiderz" is a perfectly-concieved and well-executed property which is ripe for conversion into other media. One look at the cover and it's easy to imagine the "Wildsiderz" cartoon, the "Wildsiderz "movie, the "Wildsiderz" videogame and the "Wildsiderz" action figures with translucent snap-on animal parts. The "Wildsiderz" comicbook, while no masterpiece, is a fun, well-drawn and even innovative book that's enjoyable in the same way a popcorn flick is. The hologram effects at times are difficult to decipher, which is no surprise given the amount of detail and rendering Campbell puts into his drawings. Overall though, the look is really slick and certain to be imitated by dozens of books in the near-future for power effects. Grade: B
