Stan first Guest of Honor for NYCC '07
There are a number of fine fall comicbook conventions on the calendar, but with WWC and CCI over and done with, the next huge show on the calendar is the New York Comic-Con, which just announced Stan Lee as its first guest of honor for its second annual show.
Lee also will be part of a exhibit set to open at the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art that same weekend. Last year, the museum opened a retrospective on the work of Todd McFarlane in conjunction with the the con. Details on the exhibit have yet to be announced.
The convention will be held Feb. 23-25 at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan.

Stan Lee is the man...and always has been the man...He should be the guest of honor wherever comics are celebrated...That is fact...Now what i am wondering..is..has Steve Ditko ever been celebrated as the man who drew all the comics
(actually only most of the original Marvel universe)Stan had the ideas for? Steve Ditko is recognized as one of the greatest artists who ever placed art in a readable medium (namely comics)So why not throw a party for STEVE DITKO...honoring him? He's more than earned it.Hey, Stan Lee how about it... give Steve Ditko a few kind remarks in your interviews..you did not do it alone....
sign me a lifelong Fan of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko....
