Jerry Bails, fandom founder, dies
Jerry Bails, regarded by many as the founding father of comics fandom, died Thursday at the age of 73.
Bails is best known for founding Alter-Ego, the first fanzine devoted to comicbook superheroes, in 1961. In those pre-Internet days, Bails wrote many letters to his favorite writers, editors and artists in search of information on and copies of his favorite comics from childhood, most notably the Justice Society of America.
When the letters pages in comics began to include full street addresses, Bails got in contact with another fan, Roy Thomas, and together they worked on Alter-Ego. Thomas eventually took over Alter-Ego and today edits a revived version of the zine for TwoMorrows (Alter Ego #25, the cover to which is reproduced her, was Thomas' tribute to Bails on his 70th birthday), but Bails remained a fan.
A professor at Wayne State University in Michigan, Bails produced indices, organized conventions, helped assemble the first collection of comics on microfilm and wrote such publications as "Who's Who in 20th Century American Comic Books."

This is my first post in the blog, first attemmpt one might say =). So i`d tell something about me. I`m 30 years old and work as a taxist. the last 5 years of my life can`t be called a normal life. I had serious problems with potence. I had pretty face, but petty ... in general, my life was black for long enough.
But it happend to me to know such thing as Viagra! It`s difficult to explain my feelings on that day!
So, if you have similar problems, don`t think, that life is over! you can reform everything with the help of Viagra. so.. I draw away %))) I hope my blog would be read %) Yrs faithfully, Stephen)

I'm new and poking around here for all the good stuff. I like finding the latest
news videos about the hottest stars and found a pretty good and underused site -

I'm going to school right now and can't wait to be done. All of this studying is
killing me for sure. My social life seems to be about half what it used to be before
I got so close to finishing. LOL! ;)
I found a neat site I'm so glad I ran into. This is really only going to help students
so if you are one you might want to look at it. I try to make a few bucks to spend
partying on the weekends when not studying for school. It's hard to make any
kind of good money tho as students know. This won't make you any serious
money so that's why I say for students only probably. Anyway I'm able to get
usually a couple hundred bucks a month from this and it doesn't take too long
and isn't that hard. The site is legit but sounds a little "salesy." Don't worry
