Comic-Con programming schedule revealed
The full programming schedule for Comic-Con is up at the show's website. Each day of the show gets its own page, so be sure to check out all four show days. In past years, the schedule has come out one day at a time, closer to the start of the show. But as the con looks to manage the ever-increasing crowds and announces that tickets for some days of the show will sell out in advance, it's helpful for people to know as early as possible what's going on when. It's also interesting to notice that the Hollywood programming, once the staple of Saturday, is now being spread out across all four days. So fans who want to see the "Iron Man" panel or the "Lost" panel need to be there on Thursday this year. I'll have more commentary on the programming, but want to point out that Saturday morning, I will be on the following panel:
10:30-11:30 Meet the Press: Writing About Comics—From blogs to books to magazines, the public conversation about comics is livelier—and faster—than it's ever been. Heidi MacDonald (Publishers Weekly), Nisha Gopalan (Entertainment Weekly), Tom Spurgeon (The Comics Reporter), Tom McLean (Variety), Graeme McMillan (The Savage Critics), and moderator Douglas Wolk (Reading Comics) discuss the state of the art of comics criticism.
