Lindelof: Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk scripts almost done

Talking yesterday with "Lost" exec producer Damon Lindelof for Variety's upcoming Comic-Con special about his next project, he revealed that progress is being made on the long-delayed Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk.

"They have scripts all the way through issue four and I’m about to turn in issue five in about a week," says Lindelof. "Leinil (Francis Yu, the artist) has been drawing New Avengers for (Brian Michael) Bendis, so as soon as he is done with that, and I think he has one more issue and then he’s done with that, he’s going to finish up Hulk vs. Wolverine."

That's good news for fans of the six-issue series, which was a smash hit when it hit in late 2005. A second issue followed a few months later before the series went MIA.

Lindelof says his "Lost" duties derailed the comic, and that he has a new admiration for comics writers.

"It’s hard, though, comic-book writing. It really is," he says. "I think because I’m slightly a control freak, that when it comics to comicbook writing I take the approach of wanting to describe what every single panel looks like." That differs from writing for TV, where actors, directors and the crew all contribute to the final result. "In comicbooks, there are no actors, there’s only the writer and the artist and you want to give the artist as much info as possible in order to get the idea across the point that you’re making in a specific panel," he says.

"This is in no way an excuse for my slowness," he continues. "I still should have finished a lot faster. I never thought it was going to be easy, but it’s really tough."

Whatever, man. This comic is the most unprofessional display by anyone from outside the industry yet. This amount of lateness is inexcusable.

Want to know what the script for a series called Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine should have been?

Pages 1-whatever: Hulk and Wolverine fight.

The end.

Have to agree, when Ult Hulk vs. Wolvie was first mentioned, I was really excited that Marvel were finally retelling an originally awesome story. I think I'll pick this up when it's FINALLY completed, and on the shelves in TPB format, screw waiting for individual issues. Unless I can see that it's going to be on time, with each solicitation then there's a snowballs chance that I'll even consider picking this up.

Oh my god! You're a genius! It really is that simple! Why aren't YOU writing comics?

Oh, wait, that's right. It's because you're not a genius. You're an ignorant asshole.

I really want to be mad/upset at Damon Lindelof for helping to derail the series and my favorite character (The Hulk), but at the very least he has apologized in public; that really does go a long way, at least to me. Although to say that Marvel has the"scripts all the way through issue four" is a bit disingenuous; 1 & 2 already came out, so really he has only turned in two scripts since the last issue shipped in Feb '06, 17 months ago.

Nevertheless, if Marvel is smart they will have the series re-released with the final issue or TPB to coincide with the release of the new Hulk film. It's already late; why not use what should be a great new season of Lost this Fall to help advertise the book and help build good Hulk buzz for the new film? Maybe Damon can agree to do a couple of free commercials/plugs for the book; if not in the series than in the Lost podcast.

Speaking of the Lost podcasts, as much as I really enjoy the podcasts that he does, if it's time that could be used writing the final two issues, please, please just finish the series. Carlton can handle the podcasts on his own.

Harry's fourth summer and the following year at Hogwarts are marked by the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament, in which student representatives from three different wizarding schools compete in a series of increasingly challenging contests.
However, Voldemort's Death Eaters are gaining strength and even creating the Dark Mark giving evidence that the Dark Lord is ready to rise again. In the unsuspecting lives of the young wizard and witches at Hogwarts the competitors are selected by the goblet of fire, which this year makes a very surprising announcement:
Hogwarts will have two representatives in the tournament, including Harry Potter!
Will Harry be able to rise to the challenge for the Tri Wizard Tournament while keeping up with school or will the challenges along with Voldemort's rebirth be too much for the young hero?

Hey dudes !

Sure you know rapidshare.com and many other services like it. (megaupload, megarotic, megasshares, depositfiles, sendspace, filefactory )
If you want to download more than 1 file from it, you must buy a Premium (gold) account, it's usually cost about 10$ per month. For 7 file hosting it's a 70$ per month.
If you are not a real download-maniac you can take a look at FileDownloader.net software.
This guys make a great job, they buy official premium accounts from all of this sites and download what you request for you and give it to you back in real time.
It's really awesome.

BTW, if you know any other good ways, please share.

Asta la vista !
