WGA strike post follow-up and debate
My Monday post on the WGA strike and comics got a number of responses across the internet. Tom Spurgeon at The Comics Reporter took issue with some of my points here; my response to his response (and a few more comments from Tom) is here.

Hey Tom. I read the back and forth between you and Mr. Spurgeon. On both parts, it shows an understanding of recent historical context in comics that is studied and even educational to someone like myself who may not think of things in the broader sense. It also illustrates how you both have to construct information based on your particular audiences. Very cool that the comics/writers' strike connection was even made ... and as the strike continues, I think it'll be an even bigger conversation. Though it may be isolated, seems like the popularity of the Buffy comic book shows that the even the TV audience will follow if a good story is being told.
