ABC Does Know 'Ben's' About a Rat, Right?

From ABC:

IN CELEBRATION OF THE SIXTH AND FINAL SEASON FOR “LOST,” ABC ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCES MUSIC VIDEOS FOR “LOST” STARS

Characters from ABC’s “Lost” to Be Featured in Music Videos Set to Different Recording Artists.

In celebration of the sixth and final season for “Lost,” ABC will produce music videos that will offer fans a musical look inside of specific characters from the island. Each week an individual music video will be Benlinus released that will include footage from this season and can be seen at ABC.com. Videos that will be set to different recording artists will include the characters of Ben, Sawyer, Richard Alpert, Sun & Jin, Desmond, Hurley, Kate, Jack, Sayid and Locke.

The first music video currently playing in the ABC Music Lounge features Ben and is set to “Ben” by Michael Jackson. “Lost” airs Tuesdays from 9-10 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.

"Ben?" Really? The title song from the 1972 sequel to "Willard," about a boy who befriends a rat? (The song and movie, by the way, are named after the rat.)

Given the quirks of the character, how oddly ... appropriate.

Off the top of my head, here are a few suggestions for other members of the gang. But I welcome submissions -- and ABC probably would too.

Sawyer: "You Don't Mess Around With Jim" (Jim Croce).

Jack: "Do It Again" (Steely Dan).

Richard Alpert: "Nowhere Man" (The Beatles).

Sayid: "Secret Agent Man" (Johnny Rivers).

Locke: "Spirit in the Sky" (Norman Greenbaum).

Hurley: "Louie, Louie" (The Kingsmen).

Kate: "Runaway" (Del Shannon).

Sun & Jin: "The Heart of the Matter" (Don Henley).

Desmond: "Penny Lane" (The Beatles).
