'Big Bang's' Parsons: The King of Comic-Con?

Jim Parsons -- the fabulously talented star of CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" -- gave a wonderful if slightly back-handed compliment to the people who attend Comic-Con, where the show was again greeted with tremendous enthusiasm earlier this month.

Comic-Con attendees, Parsons said, are "the sweetest, least psychotic bunch of people I've ever met," referring to the event as a "pep rally" that the cast and producers have vowed to attend every year.

Of course, "least psychotic" isn't normally something you'd want to put on a resume unless you're applying to be a cast member on "Jersey Shore." But when you're staring out at a room filled with adults -- many of them in remarkably ornate costumes -- it's clear what Parsons meant, and that he was seeking to dispel any of the popular stereotypes.

As a fairly regular Comic-Con attendee (although I missed this year), I can vouch for the good tidings in the room, barring that unfortunate stabbing incident in Hall H. Hey, you sit in my seat when I'm trying to get ready for the Marvel panel, I can't be held responsible for what happens, dude.

In the main, though, let's be honest: Entire families in full Klingon regalia may well be sweet, but can't we stipulate that they're just a little psychotic?
