Palin to return the Fey-vor?
Republican Vice Presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin may appear on SNL's Weekend Update to roast her own impersonator, Tina Fey, according to Bill Zwecker. The Alaskan Governor would portray Fey in an American Express commercial during this week's Thursday night premiere of "Weekend Update" (October 9, 9:30 pm PST). Palin and her reps are reportedly eager to return the late-night jests, especially in primetime. Fey, who has appeared on the NBC comedy three times in the past four weeks, most recently skewered Palin's debate with Sen. Joe Biden, with guest host Queen Latifah as PBS moderator Gwen Ifill. talk about selling your soul, NBC. Is ratings really worth a McCain/Palin boost for the dumbass mid-western viewer who's going to eat this up? "Dang, she's an actress, too!"

Attention NBC: If Palin doesn't do legitimate interviews on "Meet the Press" and/or with real journalists like Tom Brokaw, Brian Williams or David Gregory, she shouldn't be allowed to participate in propaganda on your show. SNL is funny, but this election is too serious to give an outlet to someone who holds the public and the press to such low regard. You will lose all the support and goodwill you have generated by allowing this lying smear-merchant on your show.
