Good news: Dreyfuss returns. Bad news: So does Johnny Carson.

  • Four years after he was sacked from the London production of "The Producers," Richard Dreyfuss is returning to the London stag to star in "Complicit," directed by Kevin Spacey. Said Dreyfuss, "I'm very excited to have a chance of not being fired before the opening." [BBC News]
  • Def Jam Recordings head Shakir Stewart, who signed Beyonce and Young Jeezy, commited suicide Saturday. [Variety]
  • Ricky Gervais, whose next film is "The Office"-ish comedy "The Man From the Pru," says he wants it to be a TV series. "We're doing it the M*A*S*H way round," Gervais said. "It was originally just going to be a TV series -- in fact, it predates 'Extras.' " [Rotten Tomatoes]
