Mega new deal for "Fringe" exec producer Jeff Pinkner
“Fringe” exec producer Jeff Pinkner
has sealed a mega new seven-figure overall deal at Warner Bros.
TV.
As part of the two-year overall,
Pinkner will continue to serve as co-showrunner on the Fox thriller, and
eventually develop new fare for the studio as well.
Pinkner is a longtime collaborator
of “Fringe” exec producer J.J. Abrams, having also served as an exec producer on
Abrams’ “Alias” and “Lost.”
Pinkner’s other credits include
“October Road,” “The Street” and “The Beast.”
Under Pinkner’s watch, “Fringe” has
become a critical favorite. And paired with “Bones,” the show has helped give
Fox its first solid Thursday night lineup in years. “Bones” and “Fringe” are
expected to return in their same Thursday night one-two punch again next
fall.
Pinkner and his writing team earned
a 2009 WGA Award nomination for “Fringe.”
He serves as EP on “Fringe” along with Abrams, Bryan Burk and J.H. Wyman.
