ABC makes first series order for fall: "No Ordinary Family"
No surprise, ABC has given a firm go to the Michael Chiklis starrer "No Ordinary Family."
"No Ordinary Family," from ABC Studios, was seen as a slam-dunk given its star caliber and its highly marketable concept: An unlikely family acquires superpowers after a plane crash.
Show also stars Christina Chang, Kay Panabaker, Tate Donovan, Autumn Reeser, Romany Malco, Jimmy Bennett and Julie Benz.
Greg Berlanti is exec producing, along with Jon Harmon Feldman, both of whom wrote the pilot.
EPs also include Morgan Wandell and Marc Guggenheim, as well as David Semel, who also directed the pilot.
Chiklis is a co-exec producer.

This should be a great show Michael chicklis is a great actor in the Fantastic 4 as the thing, and a cop in the Shield, but most of this new and upcoming rising star ROMANY MALCO is very funny with great acting skills in The Love Guru, 40 year Old Virgin, Blades of Glory, The Tuxedo, Baby Mama, Showtime series “Weeds” as Conrad and an old TV series Level nine. I’m looking forward for the season première of this very interesting concept for the story.
