CW falls for "Plain Jane"

The CW has picked up the summer reality series "Plain Jane."
British "fashion expert" Louise Roe hosts the show in which Roe transforms an average woman both physically and emotionally. That person then goes out on a date with a guy who she's been crushing on.Show comes from "Big Brother's" Allison Grodner, as well as Rich Meehan and Pete Tartaglia.
Sony Pictures TV is the studio.
Variety's Team TV -- Cynthia Littleton, Stu Levine, Jon Weisman, Andrew Wallenstein and A.J. Marechal -- provides a roundup of stories big and small, as well as opinions and analysis from across the TV dial.
