It's hammer time for Vanilla Ice
If you've been waiting for Vanilla Ice to host a home-improvement show, word to your mother: Ice is back with his brand new renovation.
A new DIY network series, “The Vanilla Ice Project,” premieres Oct. 14 with the first of 10 episodes tracking Mr. Robert Van Winkle's efforts to build a 7,000-square-foot home.
Ice brings 15 years of self-taught experience in home improvement to the project.
“I think the process of transforming something from grime to shine influences me,” Ice said. “This house was in need of a major upgrade, and my proudest moment will be when this house is revealed.”
Variety's Team TV -- Cynthia Littleton, Stu Levine, Jon Weisman, Andrew Wallenstein and A.J. Marechal -- provides a roundup of stories big and small, as well as opinions and analysis from across the TV dial.
