'Criminal Intent' back for one more year at USA

USA Network has picked up the 10th and final season of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”Criminal

Skein will retain Vincent D’Onofrio as the lead, but, as previously announced, Jeff Goldblum has departed. No word on whether Kathryn Erbe will come back as D’Onofrio’s onscreen partner.

Also, Universal Cable Prods. has made a pilot commitment for a new project with Dick Wolf and his Wolf Films shingle.

“We have been the fortunate caretakers of this legendary series, and we plan to give it the world-class farewell it so richly deserves,” said Jeff Wachtel, head of original programming for USA. “Dick and his team promise to create a major event for television with incredible surprises. The plan is for this to be the series finale, but with a Dick Wolf franchise, one really never knows until it’s over.”
