Martin Scorsese doc on Fran Lebowitz heads to HBO

FranlMartin Scorsese will be making another directorial appearance on HBO. With the premiere of his "Boardwalk Empire" pilot 12 days away, HBO announced that it has acquired U.S. TV rights to documentary "Public Speaking," showcasing the experiences and thoughts of Fran Lebowitz, for a November premiere.

Graydon Carter and Margaret Bodde exec produced the doc, which HBO says has been directed in the style of Scorsese's "Italianamerican" (1974) and "American Boy" (1978).
