CW goes distance with 'Nikita,' 'Hellcats'

Hellcats

As expected, CW freshman dramas "Hellcats" and "Nikita" got back-nine orders to complete their 2010-11 seasons, as did veteran "One Tree Hill."

"Hellcats" has had the best audience retention of any series ever to follow "America's Next Top Model" on Wednesdays, more than doubling the CW's typical 9 p.m. audience in total viewers and roughly doing the same in key demos.

"Nikita," meanwhile, has become the CW's second-most-watched series, trailing only "The Vampire Diaries."
