Vanilla Ice gets a second season from DIY, yo
All right stop, collaborate and listen: Ice is back with a brand new renovation.
Twenty years after he hit the top of the Hot 100 with "Ice, Ice Baby" -- YES, IT HAS BEEN 20 YEARS. WE ARE OLD -- Vanilla Ice is once again making a name for himself, this time as a reality TV star.
Ice -- real name Robert Van Winkle -- just landed a second season pickup for his DIY home construction show "The Vanilla Ice Project." (I would have called it "This Old Skool House," but that's just me.)
Season one bowed on Oct. 14; the ten-episode series airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. and follows Vanilla Ice as he overhauls a six-bedroom, five-bathroom, 7,000 square-foot lakefront home in Florida.
"Rob's home improvement knowledge has been an unexpected surprise for many of our viewers," said DIY general manager Andy Singer.
Season one of "The Vanilla Ice Project" concludes on Thursday, Dec. 16.

Variety's Team TV -- Cynthia Littleton, Stu Levine, Jon Weisman, Andrew Wallenstein and A.J. Marechal -- provides a roundup of stories big and small, as well as opinions and analysis from across the TV dial.
