'Waiting' goes forward at Comedy Central

Ryanreynoldswaiting_blog The “Waiting” isn’t over at Comedy Central.

Cabler has picked up the pilot order to the comedy based on the 2005 film starring Ryan Reynolds, Anna Faris and Justin Long.

Pilot will cover the same territory in the film: The goings-on at Shenaniganz restaurant, where the staff insults customers and has a little too much fun at their jobs.

Lionsgate is producing, with Rob McKittrick — scribe and director of the film — writing and exec producing. Jeff Balis and Thomas Augsberger are also exec producing.
