ABC to premiere 'Body of Proof' March 29 — but Europe gets it sooner
ABC just announced that it would premiere its Dana Delany medical examiner drama "Body of Proof" on March 29, with the show grabbing a Tuesday timeslot.
The series had originally been slotted for a fall premiere at 9 p.m. Fridays, but ABC held off after the rapid cancelation of Thursday freshman "My Generation" prompted a rethink of the schedule.
"Body of Proof" co-stars Geoffrey Arend, Nicholas Bishop, John Carroll Lynch, Windell D. Middlebrooks, Jeri Ryan and Sonja Sohn. Series creator Christopher Murphey exec produces with Matthew Gross and Sunil Nayar for Entertainment and ABC Studios.
In a twist, "Body of Proof" will have a foreign-language premiere before U.S. audiences see it. Our U.K.-based colleague Steve Clarke reports that "a dubbed version of the show to is set to launch in January and February in Italy on Fox, in Spain on Cuatro and Fox, and in Hungary on Story4."

Variety's Team TV -- Cynthia Littleton, Stu Levine, Jon Weisman, Andrew Wallenstein and A.J. Marechal -- provides a roundup of stories big and small, as well as opinions and analysis from across the TV dial.
