CMT unveils Friday night comedy schedule
CMT's long-awaited jump into the scripted world begins in January, when the country cabler launches new half-hour "Working Class."
The channel announced Monday that "Working Class," starring Ed Asner and Melissa Peterman," will launch Friday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. with back-to-back episodes.
CMT's January sked also includes the new Pauly Shore-hosted "Meet the In-Laws," which launches Friday, Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. The reality show moves to its regular 8:30 p.m. timeslot, behind "Working Class," on Feb. 4.
Network also announced that the fourth season of "My Big Redneck Wedding" returns on Jan. 21 at 9:30, behind "Meet the In-Laws." That show also moves to its normal slot -- Fridays at 9 p.m. -- on Feb. 4.
"Working Class" stars Peterman as a single mom who moves her family into an upscale suburb -- but struggles to maintain her new lifestyle.
"Meet the In-Laws," meanwhile, centers on couples who split off to live in their future in-laws' homes. And "My Big Redneck Wedding," hosted by Tom Arnold, revolves around couples who get married in redneck style.
