Exclu: TLC is heading down South, picking up the limited-run reality series “Bama Belles.”

Cabler ordered three one-hour episodes of the show, which bows Dec. 5 at 10 p.m.

Docu-series will center on a group of women in rural Dothan, Ala., and their struggles to juggle relationships, family and careers.

BBC Worldwide Prods. is producing the show, which comes from exec producers Andy Frank, John Hesling and Melody Shafir.

“‘Bama Belles’ is exploring a group of women, a city and a life that we think our viewers will really connect to,” said TLC production/development senior VP Nancy Daniels. “TLC is taking a real look at the southern lifestyle of these women in a relatable and fun way.”

“Bama Belles” reps the latest series geared toward the heartland to score a TLC pickup. The cabler also just gave the greenlight to the Billy Ray Cyrus-hosted “Operation Homecoming,” and is set to bow the docu-skein “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”

The “Bama Belles” include radio personality/real estate developer and mother Amie Pollard, 39; ex-beauty queen Melissa McLaney, 35; beautician Jana Roberts, 28; Internet entrepreneur and New York transplant Val Tignini, 26; and Army reservist Dakota Redding, 24.

A man sooner or later discovers that he is the master-gardener of his soul, the director of his life. A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on. Any idiot can face a crisis - it's day to day living that wears you out. Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.
