Writer Dan Levy and Jamie Tarses birth 'Several Children' for NBC

NBC is developing "Several Children," a family comedy pilot from comedian/writer Dan Levy, Jamie Tarses' Fan Fare, Sony TV and New Wave.

Created and written by Levy, "the comedy chronicles a stay-at-home Dad ten years his wife's junior, their two kids, a roommate and a manic housekeeper, all struggling to keep their household in check by the time their 'mother' gets home from work," according to New Wave.

Levy previously worked with Sony on the pilot “Long Distance Relationship” at MTV; that project was based on his web series. He also recently starred in the Comedy Central pilot "Let it Ride,” and is writing an ABC Family movie entitled “Stoked.” He just recorded his first album for Comedy Central and is a regular on “Chelsea Lately.”

Levy,Tarses, Fanfare’s Julia Franz and New Wave’s Barry Katz, Brian Volk-Weiss and Michael Pelmont serve as executive producers.

New Wave's credits include stand-up comedy specials for Comedy Central including the upcoming “Eddie Griffin: You Can Tell ‘Em I Said It,” “Whitney Cummings: Money Shot,” and A&E’s two-hour docu “The Battle For Late Night.”
