HBO, A&E get jump on Sundance projects
The Sundance Film Festival doesn't officially open until Thursday, but HBO and A&E Networks have already snapped up rights to two projects.
HBO has acquired all domestic rights to upcoming Sundance Film Festival opening nighter "Project Nim," directed by James Marsh and produced by Simon Chinn -- who previously teamed on Oscar-winning doc "Man on Wire." Details here.
Meanwhile, either A&E or sister channel Bio will air "Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel," a documentary chronicling the career of producer-director Roger Corman. A&E IndieFilms acquired the rights. Details here.
