Adrianne Palicki to don the Wonder Woman tights

Palicki will play the title role in the NBC pilot from David E. Kelley and Warner Bros. TV. Kelley, who is also currently shepherding the Peacock’s “Harry’s Law,” wrote the pilot, which will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner. Kelley and Bill D’Elia are exec producers.

Lynda Carter played the crime-fighting superhero in the ABC series that ran from 1976-79.

Palicki starred on “Friday Night Lights” for three seasons as a Texas high school student with ambitions of going to college. The actress returned to the just concluded series for the final two episodes.

She also was cast in Fox’s “Lone Star,” which was a critical hit but a ratings disappointment after debuting in September. The skein was canceled after two episodes. On the feature film side, she’ll co-star in the upcoming pic “Red Dawn.”

Palicki is repped by UTA, Anonymous Content and attorney David Fox.

Atlanta Roofing

Yeah it is an interesting casting. I mean yeah I can dig the brown hair and young sexy look they want but I do not buy her in the other more important attributes of the character but from what I know about this series it is already doomed from the start. Read some of these spoilers if you dare.

Two cents: the good news is that Palecki is a good, solid actress as evidenced by her performanc­es on Friday Night Live. The bad news? Palecki doesn't look anything like an Amazon. She is a 5' 11" blonde with little to no muscles. This implies the show's direction is similar to that of Smallville­. Typical Hollywood logic, where only the most recent formula is taken as dogma. Would be a bit more excited had they casted someone like Cobie Smulders. At least she looks like she could kick your ass with a smile on her face.
