'Suite Life' completes long Disney Channel journey tonight
Tonight marks the series finale of a Disney Channel stalwart, with “The Suite Life on Deck” airing its final episode at 8 p.m.
Launched in 2005 as “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” the series holds the Disney Channel record with 162 episodes. In this calendar year, it has produced the highest-rated scripted TV telecast in the 6-11 and 9-14 demos, a mark it figures to surpass with tonight’s “Graduation on Deck” episode.
Stars Dylan and Cole Sprouse have gone from age 12 to 18 on the series. Co-star Debby Ryan will next frontline her own Disney Channel series, “Jessie,” coming later this year. Fellow co-star Brenda Song recently appeared in “The Social Network.”
Pamela Eells O’Connell and Irene Dreayer exec produced “Suite Life” for It’s a Laugh Prods.
Tonight’s “Suite” finale will be followed by a sneak peek of Disney Channel's new comedy series “A.N.T. Farm,” starring China Anne McClain ("House of Payne") an 11-year-old musical prodigy who attends high school at the prestigious A.N.T. (Advanced Natural Talents) program.
