Finkleman segues from 'Newsroom' to 'Good God'

Coincidentally, just as Aaron Sorkin's "The Newsroom" is readying for HBO, a new newsroom-set Canadian series from Ken Finkleman — who previously created his own critically acclaimed series entitled "The Newsroom" — is coming to Canada's Movie Central beginning April 9.

"Good God," in which Finkleman plays the same George Findlay character he originated on his "Newsroom," finds the Canadian version of an American right-wing cable TV network as its setting. Finkleman is joined by an ensemble that includes Samantha Bee of "The Daily Show" playing morning show host Shandy Sommers.

Bill Brownstein of the Montreal Gazette has more.
