Video game developers vs. publishers

The relationship between game makers and the people who distribute them to the general public is a lot like the one between directors and studio chiefs: Often tenuous. While each acknowledges the critical need for the other, the creative process doesn't always mesh with the need for fiscal responsibility.

Meanwhile, the cost of making games continues to rise astronomically and the price of failure can be catastrophic. Scott Steinberg, founder of Game Industry TV, sits down with several gaming luminaries, who discuss the evolving nature of the industry.
