Comic-Con preview: Mass Effect movie details expected

A little over a year ago, Electronic Arts and Legendary Pictures announced an agreement to make a live-action, big screen adaptation of the BioWare's Mass Effect. Since then, though, things have been pretty quiet. Mass-effect

It looks like the silence will be broken on July 22nd.

The studio has announced details of its Comic-Con panel and included among them is a discussion with Casey Hudson, creator of the game, and Mark Protosevich, the screenwriter charged with adapting the game to film.

Warner Bros. will distribute the film and Legendary Pictures' Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni – along with Avi Arad and his son Ari Arad – will share producer credits. BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk and Hudson will serve as executive producers.

Protosevich's a screenwriting vet, having penned "I Am Legend" and "Thor".

It's too early to expect footage, since there have been no casting announcements to date – but it's possible we'll get a few details on that as well as perhaps a director attached to the project.
