Me on X-Play discussing exclusive reviews

I was on G4's X-Play yesterday discussing the "exclusive reviews" issue that has become such a hot topic since I criticized IGN recently. The other interviewee was GamePro's Chris Morell, who's obviously not there to defend IGN, but provides some enthusiast press perspective, plus a really smoking '80s style collar flipped up look. (Whereas I, like always, look like a major dork)

IGN just provided a statement to defend their reviews policy:

Hello,
Really this posting is interesting and i really like it.

Ben, just wanted to say I appreciate the effort going into this issue. I've been playing games for 20 years, and never looked at a game review before, partly because reviews do seem to be so self-serving. No offense to you or anyone else in the field, but it needs to be going up in quality, not down.

That's why I enjoy this blog so much, as it's not simply the masturbatory "hawt new screenshots" and "OMFG no multiplayer?!!?" and reviews posts. Thanks for that.
