Postal's Box Office mystery
So, after promises it would best "Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull" and subsequent worries it would only come out on four theaters, how much did Uwe Boll's "Postal" actually make on its opening weekend?
The world may never know. I just checked in with Variety's box office experts who put together our authoritative reports and it turns out wehave no clue. In good news for Uwe, apparently the final theater count for the movie around the country was 13, which is at least better than the four figure that got bandied about last week.
But Variety doesn't have a weekend gross for "Postal" and neither (I just checked) does Rentrak, the box office service that most entertainment industry pro's subscribe to. The reason is quite simple: Apparently Uwe Boll's self-distribution operation didn't report any numbers.
This is very unusual, even for movies that bomb. Any company that wants to be taken semi-seriously in Hollywood has to release its box office grosses at least to Rentrak, if not to the press, every week. Which is why we get accurate grosses even for movies that bomb like "Speed Racer." But for "Postal?" Nothing. Whatever the movie made, Uwe doesn't want us to know. And he doesn't even care that he's making himself look like an ass the next time he tries to get a movie released and somebody in Hollywood or at a theater chain asks "So what did 'Postal' gross?"
I'd venture to say the answer is "not very much."

I always heard something from my neighbor that he sometimes goes to the internet bar to play the game which will use him some habbo credits,he usually can win a lot of habbo gold, then he let his friends all have some habbo coins, his friends thank him very much for introducing them the cheap habbo credits, they usually buy habbo gold together.

Indiana Jones Sucked anyway. I saw it on the plane and it blows. Like seriously. That franchise is dead. Only Old People and Kids will see that film, cause nobody elses is stupid enough to hand $12.00 to see the same old formula. I'm sure if I see 'Postal' on DVD I would like it better. I agree with the guy who said the marketing on Indianna Jones was probably bigger then UWE budget on Postal. Give the guy a break, atleast he can make movies instead of the idiots who can only afford to critique them.

Probably didnt even make $100k, maybe not even half of that. The mere fact he said his film would stop Indiana Jones is fucking hilarious, I was browsing to see his numbers where i came across this. About a month ago, I had the urge to reinstall P2, but, I didnt, especially after revisiting their site, which totally promotes the movie, which looks so bad, i might even develop a physical or mental health issue if i was to watch it. Uwe, if you are out there, I will box you, bare knuckle in the back alley, 2 men enter, 1 man leaves.

I think Uwe has found your blog that's the only explanation for the comment below defending the tripe that Uwe Boll excretes.
Thankfully for everyone I believe the tax loop that Uwe was exploiting in Germany to help finance his movies is or has been closed so the odds of him staying in the film business are greatly decreasing. Whatever deaf, dumb and blind investors he has left must surely be tapped dry at this point.

wait wait, do i see that you say it might have had a chance if it had the marketing that indy had?
that has to be the best thing i've ever heard.

You're a jackass. The ammount of marketing and screening play that Indiana Jones got greatly outshadowed Postal, how would you expect it to gross a ton of money.
Since when is it fun to pick on the little guy? This whole school yard bully mentality is really disgusting. Yay, we're all happy that he didn't gross much money, and yet the CGI-crap fest that Lucas is in love with made a bundle.
If this had been on as many screens as Indiana Jones it might have had a fair shot, but to act like this was a fair fight is rediculous. Get in line sheepy sheepy.

Don't. Uwe Boll makes horrible films.. assuming you could even call them that. The only thing Uwe Boll deserves credit for is crafting the most hellacious tool of torment since the crucifix. He's a scam artist who doesn't deserve a penny, and his investors should sue him for everything he owns..

Considering that venues were picked up days before the release, with no opportunity for advertising or even getting schedule listings in the local papers, how would anyone have known the film was playing?

Yeah, i'm gonna look for it and see it, knowing that it is going to fail and that there is no possible way to for me to help it succeed.
