Right on the Marka
Don’t resent your ex-boyfriends. Be smart and cash in on them, like Stanford MBA grads Molly Nelson and Katherine Walker Buxton. The two were inspired by the personalities of their exes when creating their Marka line of handbags. Take for instance, Hudson, who's an organization freak -- his tote features several pockets for cell phone, iPod, etc. But industryites should take note of the chic Sinclair Slouch (pictured), which is extra-roomy for a laptop, numerous scripts and production binders. $465, markaonline.com

In the world of women's laptop bags, these are only an OK option. I went to buy the Hudson but immediately felt like to paying $400 for a canvas bag with two foam pieces in it wsa absurd. These are not really that well made and only come in unflattering colors so I looked elsewhere.
Clearly, the stylefile hasn't found Alex Grant Bags who make truly unique designer laptop bags for women that are made out of luxurious leather and leather/microfiber combo. I found one and met Alex at a 30 Van Dam sample sale in NY last month. It is the most talked about bag I've ever owned since people approach me on the street asking where I got it. Now I can pay $400 for a gorgeous leather bag but for canvas and foam...I think that's a little too hollywood for me.

I thought these were cool but pricey and since I wear mostly black to work, I needed something black but not boring. I bought a bag from AcmeMade that is cool and stylish and has a laptop case that fits inside. I like that people are finally making laptop bags for women but I couldn't find anything in leather which is what I wanted.

Marka has a nice collection of colorful bags, but the price tag is too high for an every day bag. If I'm paying $400 for a bag, I plan to carry it for a lifetime. Marka's bags defeat the purpose of having an every day bag, because they are more like fashion accessories. And, we know that fashion is ever changing. I really like the laptop cases I found at www.she-tech.com -- they are stylish and affordable.

Pinder has very sleek and hiqh quality laptop cases.
They are minimalist and colorful. To me, they are so much more realistically priced since I don't really want to spend that much on a laptop bag when I don't really carry it with me that much.
Pinder has great colors and a cute pink laptop bag too.

If you're looking for a leather laptop bag, I just found a website that seems to offer everything; leather, stylish, not to trendy and affordable at $250. It's called www.ginabinternational.com. I just ordered one (Bellisima). Check it out.

I agree with Donna K, the gina b collection is truly one of a kind. They are made of beautiful leather and fully padded. Check them out at www.ginabinternational.com. I liked the Andiamo, very sleek and classic lines.

Shu Uemura's Gold Standard Rumor has it the CEO of Sephora often credits his company’s fortune to sales of Shu Uemura’s eyelash curler. Yes, the miracle tool is just that dominant and it's commemorating 15 years on the beauty scene with a 24-carat version. A luxe case also comes with the upgraded curler, which started out as a makeup-artist fave and has since landed in the cosmetics bags of in-the-know beauty buffs everywhere. $37,
