I think it is incomprehensible that the James Bead event is taking place on the same weekend as the 25th annivrsary of Wolf's Meals on Wheels benefit. As a long-time critic of the Beard org and people, I think they are again putting their foot in their mouth. The big dinner on Friday is the same night as the pre-Meals party at Red Seven, drawing upon the same base. The sop of saying the money goes to Wolf's event is transparently phoney. And I don't believe that Wolf and Barbara really gave their approval to the counter-event. The Beard insult leaves a bad taste in my mouth! Jay Weston
