Valentino's wine bar is closer than Comme Ca to being open

More good-news restaurant openings: On Oct. 15 -- that's a week from Monday -- Valentino will open V-vin, a wine bar that specializes in (quoting from the flackage) "attractively priced flights of older vintages and rarely seen labels from American and international wineries."

Given Piero Selvaggio's wine cellar, that's pretty damn cool.

Details: Fifteen wines a night -- 10 red, five white -- that run from $10-$50 a glass. (That's not a typo.) Flights are $15-$60. The inevitable small plates run $10-$15.

There's a sample menu after the jump. Click through for larger resolution.
