The Meal  Brunch

Ordered (and I quote)  "Poached Eggs with haricots verts, golden beets, teardrop tomatoes, fennel, parmigiano Reggiano, olive tapenade and roasted fingerling potatoes," chicken-apple sausage and a latte

The bill  $24

Haricot verts, beets, etc. live up to the Ammo philosophy; strongest latte I’ve had, with the specific density of maple syrup. (Extra steamed milk available on request.) Sit outside if it’s sunny and you kind of like the sound of Sunday-morning traffic.

The Worst
Shame on them for “poached” eggs; Ammo took the easy way out, cooking them in an egg poacher that leaves the whites a little rubbery and gives the eggs a disturbingly cylindrical shape. However, the yolks were nice and runny. And tapenade doesn't work here; there's an anchovy flavor that I don't want to deal with before noon.
