Led Zeppelin reunite for Ahmet?
We sticklers for accuracy realize there cannot be a true Led Zep reunion, but three of the four band members have apparently given the thumbs up to a London appearance at an Ahmet Ertegun tribute. NME.com has its take. (You don't have to adjust your eyes: That's John Paul Jones on the left and Jimmy Page on the right).

There CAN be a TRUE Led Zeppelin reunion...And, with John Bonham's son Jason Bonham on drums, the spirit, soul and backbeat of John will be alive and well through son Jason who has the style, power and chops that his dad had...AND MORE. To me, son Jason is a leaner, sharper, more focused, sober and stronger drummer than his dad...And why not? John taught his son while still alive. I've wanted this reunion ever since Jason got old enough, because having heard his solo drumming, I KNEW that he would be the ONLY drummer that could fill the shoes of John Bonham. This is not only the PERFECT way to show respect to the late John, but to the legacy and majesty of Led Zeppelin, Ahmet & Atlantic as well. Yes! Yes! Yes! Now, if only Julian Lennon had stepped into his father John's shoes BEFORE George Harrison had died for a Beatles reunion. Now, THAT would have been pure genius...And why not? Julian (more than Sean) sounds like his father and it would have been the perfect thing to do during an anniversary period of John's death. But, then again, we could always make that happen...Sort of with Julian Lennon stepping in for John and George Harrison's competent son stepping in for him. But, maybe that's pushing it. May this Led Zeppelin reunion be the beginning of much more from Plant, Page, Jones and...BONHAM!
