Rod Rakes in Road Cash

Rodstewar Rod Stewart grossed more from concert tickets in the first half of 2007, $48 million, than any other act on the road, according to Pollstar.
The Police, who have the highest profile - and the fastest selling tour of the year - came in third at $41.9 million, right behind Justin Timberlake's $42.3 million. Stewart and Timberlake have average ticket prices around $75; a Police ducat averaged $116.
Celine Dion, now in the final year of her one city tour - Las Vegas - did $41.8 million of business to come in fourth place. The highest per ticket average also come from Las Vegas: Barry Manilow tix average a little over $150 apiece.
Pollstar, which tracks the concert industry, reported the rest of the top 10 as Kenny Chesney ($33.2 million), Roger Waters ($30.9 million), Christina Aguilera ($30.6 million), Cirque du Soleil's Delirium ($30 million) and Eric Clapton ($25.8 million).
Coming in at No. 50 was Fall Out Boy, which has grossed $6.6 million this year.
