Eric Clapton, Modern Art Collector

Ericclapton Eric Clapton paid $120,000 for a 12-painting series by Lee Quinones, the New York graffiti artist who has moved to canvases from sneakers and murals, reports the Daily Swarm. Paintings depict classic soul albums tucked under jackets. The press release from the PS1 gallery describes the works as "an homage to sonic forefathers."
Quinones says he is offering a collection of prints of the works Clapton acquired.
