In the same week that the Fab Faux get to pretend they are the Dave Clark 5 in New York, the Fab Four will take on the roles of the pre-Fab Four, the Rutles, in L.A.
"Rutlemania," billed a semi-spectacular tribute concert, will be staged March 15, 16 19-21 at the Ricardo Montalbán Theater in Hollywood.
Concert, devised and directed by Eric Idle, are part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Rutles, which includes a March 17 screening of “All You Need is Cash” at the American Cinematheque's Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. A Q&A follows.
