The Neville Brothers have inked a distribution deal for their Neville Nation Records with Vagrant Records, which goes through Universal Music Distribution's Fontana. This week,they quietly released  “The Heart & Soul of New Orleans,” a collection of eight live tracks.
Their first new CD in three years will be released later this year.
The Neville Brothers will launch a 30th anniversary tour Friday in Dallas before making their first post-Katrina appearances at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. They play the Fillmore Irving Plaza on July 2. They have 22 U.S. dates booked before a European leg in July; they return to the States for August and September shows in the Northeast and the West. No L.A. date yet.
