Jack White + Alicia Keys = James Bond Theme
Jack White and Alicia Keys have recorded the theme song for the 22nd James Bond film “Quantum of Solace.” “Another Way to Die,” written and produced by White, is the first duet in Bond soundtrack history.
White follows Chris Cornell who was the first male solo rock artist to perform a Bond theme. Over the 22 films, four rock bands have done themes (Paul McCartney & Wings, Duran Duran, Garbage and a-Ha) but only one woman rock singer, Sheryl Crow, has a Bond credit. Shirley Bassey has recorded the most Bond themes, three.
J Records will release the soundtrack on Oct. 28. David Arnold will again compose the score, making it his fifth Bond project.

Do You consider Madonna a rocker? She did the theme for Die Another Day, and the lead singer for Garbage is a woman, Shirley Manson. Chris Cornell did the Casino Royale theme, he is a "rocker", although not with a "band" on the theme. What theme did a-Ha play?

Loved the Casino Royale theme, not convinced about Quantum Of Solace. Some odd decisions have been made of late, like using the excellent Dave Arnold composition "Surrender" at the END of Tomorrow Never Dies instead of as the main title. Using Madonna for the apalling Die Another Day theme. Casino Royale saw a return to some decent music, and I really hope that Another Way To Die works better in the context of the film than it does as a stand-alone song.

Agree with Hey Tim, the standalone song is amazing ... something I enjoy listening to regardless of the movie.
Does it work with the film ... that's to be seen.
