'Appropriate Adult' sits out Emmy movie-miniseries race

Appropriate_AdultSundance Channel presentation "Appropriate Adult," which was nominated for the top miniseries prize at last month's BAFTA TV Awards and won acting awards there for Dominic West and Emily Watson, was not submitted for this year's Primetime Emmys.

West and Watson (who herself also received Golden Globe and SAG nominations last winter) do appear on this year's Emmy ballot for lead performance in a miniseries or movie. But "Appropriate" is nonetheless absent, as are writer Neil McKay and BAFTA-nominated director Julian Jarrold.

Brian Lowry of Variety reviewed the project here.
