Completely visible: Jim Parsons in 'Harvey'
The two-time defending Emmy champ for comedy lead actor, Jim Parsons, is spending his summer doing "Harvey" for the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York. In the clip above, you can find a healthy sampling. Rich Sommer ("Mad Men"), Jessica Hecht ("Breaking Bad"), Carol Kane ("Taxi") and Charles Kimbrough ("Murphy Brown") are also part of the ensemble.
I appeared in "Harvey" in ninth grade, playing the role of cab driver E.J. Lofgren, so it's basically accurate to say that Parsons and I are equals.
A native of Los Angeles raised by two parents and "Hill Street Blues," Jon Weisman ankled his scriptwriting career and began working for Variety in 2004, subsequently serving as associate editor of features and television reporter before becoming awards editor. He promises not to use this platform to retroactively campaign for Oscars for “The Misfits,” though he’d feel justified in doing so.
