David O. Russell next to grab Hollywood Film Awards spotlight

"Silver Linings Playbook" director David O. Russell will receive the Hollywood Director Award at the Hollywood Film Awards on Oct. 22.

Previously announced honorees for the HFAs include Marion Cotillard (actress), Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner (producers), Judd Apatow  (comedy), John Hawkes  (breakout performance), Quvenzhane Wallis (New Hollywood) and director Peter Ramsey's Rise of the Guardians (animation).

It has also been announced that "Silver Linings" will be shown at the Chicago International Film Festival on Oct. 24, with Russell participating in a Q&A following the screening.
