Lawrence, Zemeckis latest on fest honors train

JL RZJennifer Lawrence will be presented with performer of the year honors Feb. 2 from the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The previous year's honoree, Viola Davis of "The Help," was considered a strong possiblity for the lead actress trophy that ultimately went to Meryl Streep for "The Iron Lady."

In addition, "Flight" helmer Robert Zemeckis will be handed director of the year kudos from the Palm Springs fest Jan. 5. Recent honorees include Ang Lee, Anthony Minghella and David O. Russell.
