'Lincoln' again

Lincoln

Juxtaposition theater: On a day that many people in Los Angeles will be eager to see the print copy of their local paper, here's how the Los Angeles Times appeared to subscribers this morning.

This followed Election Night's debut of a wordless "Lincoln" TV ad on multiple networks, shortly after the election had been called for President Obama.

The cover headline on Variety, by the way: "Barack of Ages."

About

Christy GroszA native of Los Angeles raised by two parents and "Hill Street Blues," Jon Weisman ankled his scriptwriting career and began working for Variety in 2004, subsequently serving as associate editor of features and television reporter before becoming awards editor. He promises not to use this platform to retroactively campaign for Oscars for “The Misfits,” though he’d feel justified in doing so.
