How 2011-12 Oscar nominees did at Golden Globes

Of the 20 thesps nominated for an Oscar last January, 15 received a Golden Globes nomination in either drama, musical-comedy or supporting. Seven of nine films received a Globes nom in musical or comedy.

All five nominees in the Globes' single screenplay category went on to get Oscar noms in adapted or original. Four of five directors nabbed both Globe and Oscar noms.

Jessica Alba, Megan Fox and Ed Helms will begin announcing this year's Golden Globe nominees at 5 a.m. Pacific.
