More mo for 'Argo' from Southeastern crix

"Argo" added more feathers to its cap (or more caps to its head, or more heads to its body) with kudo recognition from the Southeastern Film Critics Assn., which honored the film, director Ben Affleck and adapted screenplay writer Chris Terrio.

“Argo was far and a way the most-mentioned film on our critics’ ballots,” SEFCA president Philip Martin said. “While there were other films that had more first place votes, Argo was consistently well-regarded by our membership and it ended up winning the poll by a comfortable margin.”

The rest of the org's top 10 was "Zero Dark Thirty," "Lincoln," "Moonrise Kingdom," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Beasts of the Southern Wild" (which won the Gene Wyatt Award for "film that best evokes the spirit of the South"), "The Master," "Les Miserables," "Life of Pi" and "The Dark Knight Rises."

Acting honors went to Daniel Day-Lewis, Jennifer Lawrence, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Anne Hathaway, while original screenplay went to Mark Boal of "Zero."

"The Queen of Versailles" won in documentary, "The Intouchables" in foreign language and "ParaNorman" in animation. Claudio Miranda was tops in cinematography for "Life of Pi."
