Academy sets, Globes ready to spike

So, remember how the early Oscars nominations announcement was supposed Tonya Harding other awards shows like tonight's Critics Choice Movie Awards (televised by the CW) and Sunday's Golden Globes on NBC? Let's see how that works.

Today's Academy news has given worldwide publicity to the following pics nominated for Golden Globes in major categories: "Amour," "Argo," "Brave," "Django Unchained,""Flight,"  "Frankenweenie," "The Impossible," "Kon-Tiki," "Les Miserables," "Life of Pi," "Lincoln," "The Master," "A Royal Affair," "The Sessions," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Zero Dark Thirty."

Take, uh, that.

The biggest factor in the Globes ratings is probably whether Sunday's NFL playoff game between Houston and New England, starting at approximately 4:45 p.m. on the East Coast, ends before the 8 p.m. start of the Globes.
